Relieving
Back Pain With Back Exercises
Our backs are the key to it all. Just
imagine what you could NOT do if your back gave out or broke. The
answer is virtually nothing. Hurting your back is not like hurting your
leg or hand. A damaged back can leave you helpless and
vulnerable. This is why you should strive to get plenty of back
exercises in on a regular basis.
I have had problems with back pain for a few years now. I have tried
everything. I have tried yoga, Pilates, chiropractors, physical therapy
– nothing seems to
work. Finally, I got put on an intensive course of back exercise.
Some of the programs that I'd try before had back exercises in
them, but they were not specifically designed for back injuries. The
problem was that, although some of the back exercises would make things
better, other ones would make them worse.
As a whole, my symptoms would not improve even though I would do some
back strengthening exercises.
The muscles in my back locked up into a spasm and would not loosen up.
They were holding my spine out of place, and those things combine were
causing my pain.
I had my back put into place a few times with the help of some muscle
relaxants and a good chiropractor, and then I had to do the back
exercises. One I found out what was wrong and how to fix it I was
feeling much better within two weeks.
The back exercises were rather simple, and they really seemed to help.
Once my health improved, I still continued with the back exercises. I
added them to my regular workout, in fact. It was nice to feel alright
again. It was nice to be able to go to the gym, stretch, and get to
work.
The back exercises – along with other core strengthening exercises
– made me feel stronger and more comfortable. Honestly, I have
just passed the age of 42 but I am in the best shape of my life! It
really is amazing what the right back strengthening exercises will do
for you. Not only is my back healed now, but it is stronger than ever
before.
The most important thing is not to overdo it with back exercises. Even
if you are in good physical health in most respects, the wrong back
exercises can really hurt you. Back hyper extensions in particular can
be very dangerous.
Although these back exercises can allow you to do neat things like full
back bends, the possible consequences are not worth it.
You must proceed slowly with these back exercises, or else you can
really injure yourself. Remember, very little is worse than a back
injury. You can he be laid up for weeks or months, it can affect other
parts of your health, and it will make you constantly uncomfortable.
You really should avoid it if at all possible.
